"Interesting rambling hotel built into the hillside, resulting in multiple steps up to the bedrooms. Excellent restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Minor niggles on the plumbing & shower: the cold pipe appear to be bundled with the hot and produces tepid water unless run for a long time - not ideal in a heatwave. The soap dispensers are about head level that make them awkward to operate. A lower location would be better. No basket or shelf in the shower for flannel or own soap or shampoo."

"Very nice area, quiet and lovely room. Very short and close walk to Aldi or Tesco. Lots of resturaunts and cafes in the area as well. Room is very nice with shower, comfy bed, kettle and quite spacious"

"This place is a pub with rooms and my feeling is that the rooms are generally rented by working men on short stays. Not couples in their 70s like me and my husband. For example there was a clothes rail but no coat hangers. And no hair dryer but plenty of USB points. The bed was large and very comfortable. The main plus of the Crafty Cow was the staff. They were all lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Especially the brilliant Graham who did source me a hairdryer. I’m a smoker so the...

"Friendly, welcoming staff, decent food (they know how to cook squid and steak properly!). Clean room, comfy bed, decent shower temperature and pressure! "

"We enjoyed our stay at The Thames Head. Convenient location with just a short drive to Cirencester. Also close to Tetbury and Minchinhampton. Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff were wonderful and food excellent. "
