"The room was fabulous! My only complaint would be the parking situation. My car was 1 inch too big to park at the hotel carousel, so we had to park at a nearby parking garage. That ended up being very expensive!! And I was afraid to walk back to the hotel from the parking garage by myself in the dark. "

"Wonderful stay at the Barksdale House! We had a very quiet and restful stay with our small dog:). The room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable-we stayed in the standard king. The breakfast was included and made to order-grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, Belgium waffles-all delicious-we couldn’t believe it was no extra charge. Coffee, tea, water and snacks were available 24/7. There was a Keurig machine right outside our bedroom door which was much appreciated first thing in the morning as...

"I was shocked at the location. I'm glad I didn't plan to walk to the historic area, as it was not safe. The room was shockingly small, too small for even a bedside table to ut your glasses or phone on. It was made of concrete. This made it very loud in the room and uncomfortable. The bathroom door was basically for show and did not feel private. I would not stay here again. I would sleep in my car before paying to sleep there. "

"Our original room we booked had an issue so they changed our room unfortunately but wavered the parking fee. The inn is in a great location within walking distance to king street. The room has a wonderful basket full of goodies and drinks in the mini fridge that was complimentary which was wonderful! Enjoyed the wine and champagne they offered in the afternoon and evening for free. Lovely inn and highly recommend."
