"Spacious family room but stains on carpet/ bathroom. Beds not very comfortable, standard breakfast… could do with healthier options. £14/day parking is steep but staff are friendly."

"Great lay-over before an early morning flight out. Room was spotless, quiet and well furnished. Used the hotel shuttle bus to/ from the airport - excellent service and very polite and helpful staff everywhere I turned. Will definitely use Clayton again.."

"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"We stayed here for the weekend whilst visiting Manchester for a concert. I was very impressed, they had 2 weddings receptions during our stay and we heard nothing! The room was clean, spacious twin beds, teapigs tbags and bottled water. Staff were friendly, a great stay."

"Room was good for the non-budget price and comfort more than ample for the days I stayed. Swimming pool and facilities overall excellent, very friendly and good atmosphere. Didn't take breakfast - in too much of a hurry each morning. Did use the Bistro within the hotel (but run independently) and that was good value. All staff very committed and friendly apart from the one who checked me out. Parking isn't ideal but expected for the location. Overall a very good hotel and will definitely...

"Bathroom could do with some money spent to fix the broken tiles on the floor and give it some good cleaning in the shower area. Shower was adequate itself. Bed was comfortable and pillows were not hard so we slept well. Breakfast was buffet style help yourself with unlimited coffee and tea. For a budget room 223 it was as expected For what we paid "
