The room was clean, but tired (tear in curtain, dents in wall, older furniture and beds.
Main issue was that I booked the room (twin) as it said two single beds. I assumed this would mean two beds with a proper mattress on each, however, it was two beds that obviously are normally used together as a double, probably with a proper mattresses. We had what can be described as a thick mattress topper or a very thin, unsprung, roll mat. This was disappointing.
The food was good and the staff friendly and accommodating. The location was good for what we wanted and the parking good (and included).
I just can’t understand why a company would give a ‘kind of’ twin to a customer that specifically wanted a twin, when (I assume) there must be better and more specific twin rooms available; it wasn’t cheap. This aspect of our stay made it slightly disappointing.
Other than this, a good stay… the twin ‘beds’/‘mattresses’ experience, means that I would think twice about using that particular hotel again.
