"This hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Chesterfield near shops, the Market, restaurants and pubs. All members of staff are friendly, helpful and very pleasant. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet with excellent coffee ‘on tap’ and dined in the simple but delicious in house restaurant nearly every night. They have a decent Happy Hour in their small bar too. We shall be returning to this hotel on our next visit to Chesterfield "

"We only stayed one night as we were up to visit our pup for the first time. We had no serious negatives about the hotel with the only exception to a bit more character in the room. Our room was a spacious double, which was clean with a very large, comfortable kingsize. We did book a table in the restaurant and the food was extremely good. It is a shame it wasn’t as busy as we expected, specially as it was 5 days to Xmas. If you stay, I would recommend the restaurant. The food and service was...

"Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...

"Plenty of safe parking onsite. Didn't have breakfast, but had fish n chips for supper and it was really tasty. Room and pub was well maintained and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Reception is fully automated (no dedicated reception staff) but housekeeping and pub staff can provide some assistance. Ideal location for Chatsworth and the surrounding area."

"My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December in the Warren room and it was so comfortable! Ziz was the perfect host, what a lovely place the Sheriff Lodge is, close to town and 5 mins from a lovely nearby pub for an evening meal. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice, the homemade granola topped with fruit was the best! Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will return in the summer. "Stayed in one of the suites with a 4 poster and it was lovely. It was in the older part of the hotel so it had great character. Bathroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. "
