Right across the street there was a small laundry mat to wash your own clothes. Breakfast was delicious and that staff were incredibly nice. The hotel is incredibly charming.

Great boutique hotel in the middle of Old City, a short stroll to the Thapae Walking street ( Sunday Markets) as well as the many beautiful temples in the area. Close also to a couple of 7 -11's as well as cafes and restaurants. Staff were great and the accommodations were very comfortable!

We loved staying at the Le Charcoa. It is a quaint boutique hotel. Very quiet neighborhood and easily accessible to restaurants. The staff is soo very friendly. I can’t wait to go back to Chiang Mai and stay here again.

Due to the location, we had a lot of problems with the mosquitos around the hotel. The A/C also made really loud noises, which made it hard to fall asleep. Room was nice and tidy.

This chaing mia boutique hotel makes you feel like youre living in a small mountain retreat. It features an adorable pool with a small restaurant overlooking the courtyards. And if you look closely you'll find it lord of the rings themed.

This is a charming hotel with gracious, friendly and helpful staff. While in the old town, it is down a small street, so it is quiet and you wake to birdsong and not street traffic. Being in the old town, it is within easy walking distance of many temples, night markets and dining/shopping areas. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place

Absolutely loved this place. It’s affordable, clean, spacious. The breakfast is in a beautiful terrace. It has a nice pool. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The location in old town is perfect as a base if you like going around at daytime. Quiet at night. Will definitely stay here again next year!

Room was clean and staff were friendly and efficient. This is a very small place but has lovely small pool and pool bar area, only real complaint is the stupid room key being need to run the electricity, there is a slot directly inside the door, if your room key isn’t inserted the room has no air conditioning or electrical power, so every time you come back it’s a hot room, also when checking in they require a 1000 Bhat cash deposit for the key, I requested a second key but was denied.

Cute small hotel. Nice small pool with 4 loungers and a table and jacuzzi. Very local and convenient to cafes and restaurants and massages and temples such as Wat Phra Sing. Nice staff. Decent and clean rooms, the bed was a bit hard but other than that very nice hotel.

Quaint boutique hotel!

This hotel was lovely! The staff were very kind and the property was very clean and well kept. It is located on a side street on the west side of the Ancient City, which I found to be more quiet than the east side. Wat Phra Singh was a very short walk away. And a 7-11 was very close by too. The hotel has a restaurant on site, which had good food and excellent service.
Stairs but also had an elevator available.

Quiet nice hotel.

Not a good location, can be pretty quiet if you try walking back to the hotel and is far from main road. But is a beautiful classic hotel, small and compare room with everythings you needed in it. Friendly staff and very helpful when in need.

Very quaint small hotel right in the heart of Chiang Mai's Old City. The small pool is lovely on those hot days after exploring the city. Staff is extremely friendly and the place was spotless. We took advantage of the mini convenience store across from the hotel that also serves as the local bar. We hung out with the locals before or after heading out to dinner.

So clean, even under the bed was spotless with no dust. Reception was always attentive and an absolute delight. Stayed in thailand for 4 weeks and this has been my favorite! The Charcoa is a beautiful and unique boutique hotel in a quiet area that is nonetheless 5 minutes from a main road. It has about a dozen rooms (named after characters from The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings), so it's personal. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Our room was spacious and bright, with a very comfortable bed and a big bath. All around great stay.

Beautiful hotel in great location but a bit restricted space wise. Pool was tiny and space to sunbathe very restricted. Room spacious and comfortable. Recessed light switches were perplexing to begin with. As was request for 1000 baht deposit for a room card (I declined).
