"Beautiful historic hotel in a prime location on the lakefront and near a zillion tourist attractions. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I don’t often write reviews but I travel frequently and this hotel really stood out. "

"The fridge didn’t work and I was placed near the elevator so could not sleep all night, either night. Brought it to the staff’s attention and was told “sorry we are almost sold out” I’m paying just as much as the next guest, to be hit with such a stupid response. If I was interested in the occupancy of the hotel I would ask for a job in their front office. What I cared about was sleeping. To be told “we are almost sold out” is ridiculous when I’m telling you I couldn’t sleep the night prior. No inquiry of how the stay could be improved and still charged for a late check out of an hour. Overall, very disappointing stay"
