Worse experience ever!! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and I decided to book this hotel because it came up on Expedia and I thought it would be good! A bit pricey I though but since it was downtown and with a lake view I though what can go wrong?
We arrived at 11pm because before that we went to dinner and another activity. When we got there the person behind the desk told us that the room with a king bed was given away to someone else, mind you I had paid ahead on the app. Then he proceeded to say he can give us another room for the same price with 2 twin beds. What can we do? We were already there so we took it. I asked him why wasn’t I notified or called before they gave away my room, he said if you would have got here earlier you would have got it. Like wth!? I had already paid for it!!!
They should have called to verify if I wasn’t coming in anymore so they can give it away to someone else. Then I asked if I would get a discount or something since they messed up and he said no. Then he proceeded to give us a free breakfast voucher.
We go up to our room, and there was food that someone ordered before it I don’t know what happened but food was there already!! Smh!
Also the valet parking was $86 dollars!!!!!!! That’s insane, we are staying at this hotel so we should have got it validated well no!
