The staff had a great attitude, and the bartenders were incredibly nice and welcoming. They even gave us complimentary water and were happy to answer our questions about the area. We had a great experience and will definitely return the next time we’re visiting Chicago!

Pros: great location if you like to walk around town, reasonable parking prices, friendly staff. Cons: tile was falling off of our bathroom wall by shower, our door would get stuck and difficult to open, we chose it for the rooftop bar area and when we tried to go up it was always closed for a private event.

My husband and I stayed at The Godfrey Hotel Chicago to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We had a last-minute change of plans and booked the hotel, and it truly saved our trip! The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Everything felt welcoming and relaxing, and we were able to enjoy our anniversary and make wonderful memories together. We’re so glad we found The Godfrey and would absolutely stay here again!

Felt more like a 3 star hotel given the condition of the room and quality of the furnishings. It was conveniently located with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. Just know these are not luxury accommodations.

Very central to most sites that you would want to visit in Chicago. The rooms were spacious and clean. There is however an environmental fee of ~25$ a night that they don't warn you about only until after you book the hotel...

The hotel was nice, and the location was great. However, the property could use a little updating and more attention to detail, especially with the bathroom amenities. The hallways were also quite noisy, with a lot of partying going on. I certainly don’t mind people having a good time, but it did get a bit loud. Overall, it was an okay stay, but I felt it was overpriced for what was offered. There were other hotels nearby at about the same price that appeared to be substantially nicer. Not a bad experience, just not quite worth the price.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was super helpful. We didn’t make it to the roof top bar which turned into a club at some point in the evening. Smelled like a luxury hotel. I would classify this as an independent hotel trying to be in the luxury class.

Great place for the price we paid. Our room had a stellar view of down town. Great central location in the River North district. Walking distance to the river, loads of restaurants, bars and galleries. The roof top bar was swanky and has a really nice view as well. Well crafted cocktails but overpriced. The restaurant downstairs is convenient and has tastey fare but again way overpriced for what you get. A single cup of average coffee cost me six dollars before tip.
