"Nice pub with good ale and friendly staff. Unfortunately situated on quite a busy road so not exactly quiet. Room was nice but could do without the plastic plants. Nice breakfast and easy to park Shower over bath not very powerful"

"First of all, the room was silent, which is a huge positive. Really quiet and peaceful. The ‘king size’ bed is an insult to customers intelligence. Pushing two single beds together and calling it a king size should be criminalised. Properties like this are charging premium prices for facilities, and then providing some hashed excuse which barely ticks the boxes. The internet access is generous and works well. Parking is confusing. Do you pay or not? The shower head was broken and both the bath...

"The room was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed just one night and had to leave early before breakfast was served, but we were provided with an excellent pack up with tea. Will definitely stay there again en route to ferry crossings."

"We arrived at the hotel late afternoon to find the on site car parking full. We parked on the street outside, checked in, and was given a parking permit for the space we used. We were only there for a couple of nights, and didn't need to move the car until we left. The lady at the reception took us up to our room and showed us in. A little quirk of the hotel is that all the rooms have names that begin with a "G", ours was Gleeful. The room was minimally furnished and the bathroom fairly basic....

"Our room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel has a different layout so depending on where your room is you may have to walk a long way to get to it or cut across the courtyard if it’s not raining. A bit in the middle of nowhere but ok if you have a car. Large parking lot but you have to pay."

"The staff were helpful and the room was excellent - clean, well furnished, with good courtesy tray, easy to operate TV, an excellent shower in the bathroom. The only slight criticism was of the very limited choice of breakfast cereals - just rice krispies and coco-pops. Please offer muesli, Weetabix, shredded wheat etc. for those of us who prefer something more grown-up and fibrous !"

"It was a very mixed stay, although overall it was positive. The first room we were given was very dirty. The walls in particular were yellow and marked, including hand prints on the walls and mould on the curtains (pictured attached). The room was very hot and the window didn't open - no air conditioning either. It was quite small and cramped. Premier inn would have been a lot better. "Unfortunately the hotel pumps in am air freshener that is overwhelming. There was no air-conditioning so even with a fan the room was very hot. The room had a frosted sky light over the bed do it was very bright early morning. There were only 4 channels on the TV and you had to pay £5 to use the pool. The hotel is quite dated"
