"It's a great place to stay in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Centrally located on the high street; with parking in the back (not accessible from the high street). The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street;...

"This is a beautiful hotel in the best location. On the highstreet in Chipping Camden. Our room was lovely and spacious. But when we got to the room it had a large portable fan in it and the front desk person informed us that the room did not have A/C. I was so sure that when I booked the room it said it was one with A/C. When we were checking out, a staff member came to help us take our suitcases down to the lobby and when I queried the A/C or lack thereof, they said the room did have it. So...

Potential guests should be aware that you will have to climb narrow stairs, and there is no lift. Also, those addicted to air conditioning. should know that the upstairs rooms can get warm. "Great stay in a lovely hotel. The owner was charming, friendly and fun and gave an excellent display of first class customer service. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We left too early for breakfast so they made up packed breakfasts for us too. Some of the alcoholic drinks in the mini bar are free too! Bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean, tidy, modern and well kept. Parking right outside too."
