"After I left this am the hotel is niw closed and ti be sold. News only made know to staff very recently."

"After a long day of emptying a property, we were looking forward to getting to our room and winding down for the night. Upon arrival into the room, it was like an oven opening up the door. It was 30-degree heat outside, and not one window had been left open to help ventilate or keep the room cool. We had to open our main door to try and let some air enter the room as it was absolutely unbearable to stay in there. Then it was time for a shower. "Loved our stay and so did our dog, especially the doggie sausage for breakfast! I made full use of the swimming pool and hot tub and had it to myself. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will come back."

"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

"Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. "

"A lovely hotel and lovely staff. Great location. We are in the bar and food was excellent as well. There was a slight hiccup on our arrival due to a delayed ferry but the staff couldn't do enough for us after that. We will definitely return and recover.mend it to anyone"

"A relaxing feel runs through the hotel and out into the gardens. The view from the restaurant is beautiful. Herons love it too! The staff were smiley and attentive, Our room was clean and the towels soft and fluffy. We made use of the spa facilities every day. The pool temperature was great for us."

"Very spacious and clean single room. Equipped with fridge and a fan which were both very welcome on the extremely warm conditions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing full refurbishment by dedicated owners. Extremely good value for money also."

"This was in a great location but unfortunately the lift had broken a month before we arrived and no one informed us. We found walking up 5 flights of stairs not the easiest and wish we had been informed. The air conditioning didn’t work either though we did have a fan. The heat in the room was overbearing."

"It was great value for our one night stay. If you’re looking for a location near the beach, train station and the bus stop to Ryde or Ventnor then it’s great. The rooms were small but the bed was comfy and we had tea and coffee provided in the room as well. Check-in and check out were really straightforward and everyone very friendly. Many thanks."
