I sent a message through Expedia to let the hotel know we were arriving after midnight. I also tried calling the hotel before leaving but no one picked up. "The Taylor Texan is a great place to stay! I was a little disappointed in the food at the Cantina restaurant and the limited choices at the Marketplace. But, it was still a comfortable, clean and fun place to stay. "

"Room was clean but the sink and shower drains smelled of sewage backup. The evening front desk guy is unprofessional and rude to say the least, and being a 3rd party owned hotel, shortcuts are made. 1 example is finding the one “master” light switch that turns everything on in the room. So we showered and whatnot by our phone lights. When we complained the next morning we were finally told about the “master switch”. "My flight to Dallas was cancelled due to storm weather conditions and all flights being grounded in Chicago. The hotel would not let me cancel the room, even though I booked a room in their Chicago hotel. "
