"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room. As did our daughter and son in law. Both rooms were lovely. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hotel is in a great central location. We had room service for breakfast both mornings. Our daughter ate breakfast in the restaurant. Both were very nice. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the room cool enough during the heatwave but the hotel were quick in providing us with a fan to help. "This Race Course branch of the Chain does everything it says on the tin. Helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast choice. Having to fork out for parking is unwelcoming. Outside of race days whats the point.... a few miles down the road the member of the chain doesn't charge. So I go there next time. Otherwise no beefs."

"Great location. The room was nice, if a little warm, the A/C wasn’t very powerful and our fridge didn’t work. However the room was very clean and had a nice feel to it. The hotel in general had quirky decor which was interesting to look at. The breakfast was ok, but we were disappointed there wasn’t any cereal, pastries and other help yourself items. The staff very very friendly and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay."
