"The apartment was spotless, modern, luxuriously decorated & very spacious (apt#5). Picture on website are accurate. Good water pressure, good appliances, well stocked kitchen. Plenty of toiletries. "We really enjoyed our stay. Francisco was the best -very friendly, great service, and fantastic recommendations for dinner, boat tour, and other quintas to visit. It was nice to meet the owners as well and talk with them about the harvest season. Will definitely recommend and will come back the next time we’re in the Douro."

"Customer service at Prim and Proper is truly excellent and the hotel itself is fabulous, well maintained and beautiful with a real eye to detail. We enjoyed being located just outside of the historic area and the alternative options this offered for eating etc which we found to be excellent - including the hotels recommendation of O Freitas - just a few doors away and easily our best meal of the stay. We would definitely recommend and revisit Prim & Proper Porto. "

"This trip just keeps getting better and better! This is NOT a hotel. It is more a resort guest house. Complete luxury with a setting in the hill/mountains of the Douro valley that is right out of movie setting. Friendly helpful staff always eager to help. The room was luxurious, the included breakfast was just out of this world. Off season prices made this incredible place even better! The only reason I gave it 5 starts was because 6-7-8 were not available!"
