"We had an excellent stay at The Portland. Gabriela could not have been more helpful in advance with clear instructions and sorting a parking permit for £5 for 24 hours. The safe parking was around the posh Clarence Square not too far away. There were other places in Zone 10 too. Gabriela allowed us early access to our wonderful room (No 6) because we had a memorial service to attend and wanted to sort things before we set forth. The simple breakfast was fine with orange juice, fruit,...

"We had a great stay in the property the location was perfect. Breakfast was fab and the staff were all very pleasant & welcoming"

"Food was ok, sometimes a bit cold, a bit of a limited menu Beer was rubbish, went flat quickly Accomodation was faultless"

"A clean compact room, a bit chilly the night we stayed and no heat from the radiator which wasn’t great. The bathroom is more of a wet room - the shower doesn’t have a tray so the water goes pretty much over everything, a real detractor for me. Bed was comfy and there was kettle and small cups to make a hot drink. Good location, just off the Main Street."

"Clean room and the new owners couldn’t do enough for us"

"Logement très bien situé mais un peu bruyant lorsque votre chambre donne sur la rue. Sinon, que des points positifs, le lit était très confortable et la chambre et salle de bain très propres. Le point positif du logement : la localisation. Je recommande chaudement."

"Good location for start of Cotswolds walk and excellent full English breakfast."

"We stayed in the coach house which was ideal for us with our dog. Dinner - fish and chips was good and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were really accommodating and made us welcome. Really good atmosphere in the bar which was well populated with locals."

"The Hotel was lovely, and very olde wordly. The Staff were very good in the main, but last nights pie crust was burnt, and there were no published prices for Breakfast, so to get our bill on checkout, and find that I was charged £16 for a sausage sandwich was a bit much, and there was no mention of a 10% service charge for Dinner at all."
