"I stayed in Peter Scott House, which is part of the hotel. I needs some serious work doing on the bathroom. The tray was damanged and stained and the water was far from even. Not what I would expect from a hotel. The breakfast in the main hotel is good but when the hotel is full there is not enough room, notably on Sunday. If it is hot then the rooms are hot. There is no aircon so the best you can do is stretch the fan as close to the window as possible to get some air circulating."

"The property was really lovely.,beautiful surroundinfs and wildlife. I would have liked the pool to be slightly cooler though, it was very warm. It was not very refreshing especially as it was 30+ degrees outside so wasnt very refreshing."

"The property was just across the road from the sea. We had great views from our 3rd room floor. The outside look bedraggled with peeling paint. The entrance was sparse but clean , and smelt nice . Initially there was nobody to book us in . A member of staff just happened to come in and book us in. We had help with the door access codes. Booking in was easy. The rest of the hotel carpets, that we experienced, were extremely dirty and sticky underfoot. The water in the shower cut out before...

"Good and affordable place"

"Our stay was ok. However the mattress in our room, the springs were gone which caused me to be quite uncomfortable throughout our stay and caused me to have pain in my hips. We then also didn't have a plug for our bath and were given a spare one that then also didn't fit the bath. The toilet was also flowing constantly at the back and the plug in the sink didn't also hold water. We ended up having food in the restaurant where my steak wasn't too good. It was very fatty, very tough and I couldn't...

"The house has rooms which are let and reminded me of a hostel. The web description of what I paid for did not tally with the room I was offered. I found I had a room on the second floor with an en-suite bathroom, an air conditioning unit which was not working, but a fan which was. The bathroom was well ventilated by a Velux window. The communal areas and staircase were not smart. The room was clean and had a kettle, tea & coffee etc. Given the price relative to local hotels it was OK for value....

"Staff were very helpful and freindly. Clean room. Plenty of parking and good location. Breakfast was excellent."

"Despite the construction/roadwork being done outside, the room was quiet at night. No air conditioning but the shades and fan made the room comfortable for sleeping. There is a lovely garden out back where we sat for breakfast. Less than 1 block from rail station and a very easy walk to downtown Oxford. We were able to leave luggage there much of our last day while we continued to explore the town. It was very handy to then walk to the train and head to the next destination"
