"Very nice hotel, 20mins walk from the city center. Beautiful room, however the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room but the staff were very helpful and brought us fan. Note they don’t see messages posted in the comments box when booking on Expedia - better sending separate message. There is an on-premise parking with limited spaces so make sure you contact hotel for it specifically and ask them to book it for you."

"Convenient location for the Central Gare nearby but a lot quieter than the closer Ibis just up the road. Clean room and good breakfast in a spacious dining room. Helpful staff"

"Excellent location for cathedral and central Bordeaux. 15 mins to quayside and port. Tram stop palace de justice right outside, only €1.9 for 1 hour unlimited journey which will also cover trip from the airport. Room small but clean and adequate for 3 night stay for 1 person. Good air con. Comfortable bed. Shower room looked newly refurbished. Overall good value for budget accommodation. Breakfast bars/ room relatively small and a bit chaotic/ crowded at peak times, often needed to ask topping...

"I stayed at Hôtel Cardinal in Bordeaux from 21st–23rd April and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially given the high price. Both nights, the room was uncomfortably hot as the air conditioning did not work at all. It was 27° outside. The in-room phone was also faulty and would lose power within seconds, making it impossible to contact reception without going downstairs. On the first night, I had very little sleep due to the heat and was then woken early by cigarette smoke...

"C’était propre et assez moderne Très mal indiqué qd on vient en voiture . Personne rigide a l’accueil . A fait payer 1 café le matin alors que je suis diabétique et que j’avais reserve 2 chambres pr 2 nuits + parking , 355€ ! . Personne pas tournée vers le client , très dommage !! Les chambres vers la route sont bruyantes et pas d’air ."

"The room was luxurious, welcoming and incredibly comfortable. We loved the bed, linens and all the space for us and our belongings. It was quiet and a relaxing to be in our room. The shower was a small challenge given the smoothness of the very deep bathtub. It was not easy to stay warm while washing our body and the open-air shower."
