"The room was very run down with broken wood around the windows, the bathtub was covered in hair and the cup in the bathroom had old toothpaste in it, the handle on the bathroom door was loose and didn't lock and the TV remote didn't work."

"I had a lovely stay at The Three Shires Inn which is in the lovely, quiet spot in the middle of the countryside. Loved seeing the mountains and sheep. I would highly recommend."

"The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. "

"Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!"

"Lovely polite friendly staff. spotless spacious room with a pretty view & lovely little touches throughout the hotel. Free onsite parking, Spa was a real treat - open til 8pm which is fab after a day of exploring. Only negative was the coffee at breakfast was very weak but coffee machine was better! "

"Room was clean, the decor was in need of a refresh. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms is very off putting and had me worried about the room itself. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. "

"Parking was a nightmare. Checking in at the bar was awful, the bar staff were rude, didn't even look up from him screen. The room was small, and severely dated, with a toilet that faced the bath tub, and as a 6ft tall person, it was not a comfortable experience. The bath tub was so old that the white has come off, and it was a disgusting yellow with deep scratches on the bottom. The breakfast was terrible, the hot food was cold, undercooked, and the eggs sat there so long they had almost a...
