"A good alternative to staying in Halifax for us while visiting family. Clean and comfy room with a modern feel and easy contact-free checkin/out. Has parking, but we were car free so used local taxis for the most part to/from Sowerby Bridge centre (£10 each way) and also walked a few times (be aware, quite a steep but enjoyable climb, takes around 25 mins). "Lovely place, perfect for our 1 night stay with beautiful views. Great food, very friendly staff who were so lovely and comfortable room. A 5 min drive into Holmfirth. We'll definitely be back. "

"Dog friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free on site parking is very convenient. Easy walking distance to Fox Valley and all its amenities. On occasions, at weekends, rooms at the front of the hotel, you can hear people leaving the pub at the end of the night. Although the noise doesn’t go on for long. It has never put us off staying. "

"Welcome drink on arrival... Still waiting for it! Raised issues with staff that were handled professionally but could have easily been avoided. Buffet style breakfast with choice of additional cooked to order dishes and continental options 5*. The surroundings were breathtaking. Would recommend as peaceful retreat for all to stay and enjoy local area with much to see and do. 10/10 to cocktail maker Alex."
