"The room and property as a whole was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The basic amenities like coffee, shampoo, soap, etc. are all standard quality. The hallways and the room smelled a little smokey, but were very clean and no stains on the sheets. I wish that the breakfast included a protein like eggs or sausage, but everything else was good. Parking was free. Overall, a great stay and would absolutely consider staying again if in the area."

"Breakfast was what we expected - basic continental breakfast. Room was decent but the bathroom wasn’t clean when we checked in. Overall convenient - right off the highway, plenty of parking. Good for a quick overnight stop on a long roadtrip. "

"Parking was well lit, close and ample. Our room was very clean, bright and comfortable. While the hotel proper held beautiful elements of it's almost 200 year history, the rooms themselves were basic Hampton Inn variety. It didn't bother us in the least. Breakfast was about what one would expect from a Hampton Inn. I found the choice for kielbasa sausage as a meat option, versus bacon and breakfast sausage, a little odd for breakfast, but it was good. I wish they'd had grits or biscuits...

"The hotel is close to downtown Lexington. The hotel walls are very thin, you can hear everything from the hall to the adjacent rooms. The room was a good size and we had the Mountain View’s from the window. Beds were comfy. Breakfast didn’t have many options. The reception staff was very nice."

"The hotel was clean and well kept, though a little bit dated. The room was clean and well supplied. The heat system was very noisy, and had a continuous high pitch while running, as did the refrigerator. The breakfast was well stocked and was clean. The staff person did an excellent job of refilling supplies, when needed. The parking area seemed secure and safe. Overall, the hotel was very nice."

"The room this week and last week were both clean. Last week the AC was not working in the room and it got quite warm. This week everything was perfect and the front desk staff told me that all of the rooms AC have been reviewed and are now working properly."

"People were absolutely awesome at the Good Place B&B. I felt so welcomed during my entire stay, from checking in to check in out and every breakfast in between, which were great and delicious by the way. A great place to spend a few days away in nature, but a close drive to many historic locations and natural attractions in the area. The rooms amenities could use some improvement (new towels and linen come to mind). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. "

"Loved this place! It’s a perfect option if you don’t want to pay the high price at the Homestead. You can walk to the homestead and still enjoy the restaurants and most of the features of the homestead. The staff was so sweet and we loved the hot homemade breakfast!"
