"The staff were extremely polite and attentive. Loved their positive welcoming attitudes after a 2 hour drive. The property was clean, easy parking and it’s surrounded by a number of places to eat and a Walmart about less than half a mile up the road. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the room smelled like dirty, smelly feet. Specifically the couch. I only stayed 1 night, we were with 2 under 10 and a teenager. and I didn’t want to go through the trouble of asking for another room - not even sure of that was an option. I ended up covering the sofa with a blanket I travel with, to cover up the smell. It was also a learning listening to bring Lysol spray with me from now on. Also, I wanted to mention that the sofa was not a pull out mattress, nor was it a trundle as the room flyers stated, so that was also disappointing. Again, the staff was absolutely amazing and would probably be the only reason why I would return.."

"Do not stay here, it's a Howard Johnston with higher end boutique prices. During our stay, the hotel hosted a large private sorority event that significantly impacted the property environment. The outdoor amenities—including the pool area, green space, and fire pits—were effectively taken over by the event with girls drinking, partying and taking selfies, making the space unusable for my family. This directly contradicts how the property is marketed- as a relaxing, upscale lodge focused on privacy and restoration. When I reached out to the management they dismissed my concerns saying I was the only one complaining and that they sorority party ended before quiet hours. Be warned, you will go expecting the relaxing vibe they market on instagram and the website and end up with a great party. So uncalssy! Key concerns: No disclosure of the event prior to or at check-in Paid amenities were not reasonably usable Multiple complaints to staff on site were not addressed Additionally, after my stay, I posted a fair and factual comment about our experience on the hotel’s social media page, which was removed. This raises further concern about how guest feedback is being handled."

"Amazing kind and generous staff who were helpful and accommodating. Came for my daughter’s birthday and was treated amazing! Only concerns were that the bed sheet on one bed had a yellow stain upon arrival but was fixed quickly and kindly by staff. Elevator could also use a safety check. Almost closed on my kids multiple times! Others wise 10/10 would recommend"
