The staff were amazing with friendly service. The hotel location and ambiance were simply great. The rooms were very clean, neat, comfortable, with a wonderful decoration mirroring the famous Joanina library. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this charming hotel.

Such an amazing hotel. The room was decorated beautifully and the bathroom looks like a library was real book titles. The bed was super comfortable, and the location could not have been more perfect. The staff at the front, Helena was super helpful with navigating public transit when we were confused and would absolutely stay at this hotel again and again given the opportunity.

Great location, with spectacular views from the top deck. Breakfast was very nice and they also served afternoon tea and cake. The room was quite large, the book theme was interesting. Very clean, would recommend!!

Loved this hotel! Our room was spacious and the book decor very elegant. The breakfast room/lounge was on the 5th floor with a great view. Also a nice rooftop sitting area. The breakfast buffet was good with diverse options. The afternoon tea with cake and cookies was a nice addition. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at the CBR Boutique Hotel was perfect! The hotel is centrally located in a small shopping area and made finding restaurants nearby and walking around to the sights of Coimbra a breeze. The rooms were clean and super comfortable and we loved the charming library motif. The staff was very attentive and helpful with suggestions of what to do in the area. They even made sure our luggage made it to our room as we arrived early before check in time. The breakfast was simple, but everything was fresh and tasty. We especially loved the nice touch of the hotel putting out cakes and cookies starting in the afternoon through to the evening in case we wanted an after dinner treat. I would definitely stay at the CBR Boutique hotel again if traveling to Coimbra!

Great place to stay in Coimbra. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The property is fantastic with terrific views, too. There were a couple aggressive panhandlers (beggars) near the property, but we still rate this hotel 5 stars, so we loved it.
