"This is a huge master suite inside the owners' home. They are super-friendly, and allowed us to check in early as our flight into San Jose landed in the morning. As an unexpected bonus, we got to see a beautiful sunset right from the unit, overlooking the Central Valley. Convenient starting point for tours to Volcan Poas and other points north. Do bring night eye covers, as the unit becomes very bright in the morning."

"These are pretty rustic cabins, but they are clean and comfortable. Also, the WiFi is fast. Expedia double booked the family cabin so when we arrived, the only cabin left was a studio with 2 full beds - and we are 5 people. The host called his daughter and she brought over a cot to put in the living area. We were so grateful not to have to find another place! I can't say enough nice things about this host. He lives next door and is totally willing to help out in any way. He has 3 milk cows...

"Family that runs it is fantastic! Rooms are clean and comfortable with a view worth it alone! Quiet and the landscaping is beautiful! The restaurant is a must, I run a beef ranch and the ribeye was definitely one of the top 3 I’ve ever eaten! Will recommend and will be staying here again!"

"Loved the hotel and had a wonderful stay—so unique with a Costa Rican vibe and the architecture is reminiscent of Frank Loyd Wright in how the hotel merges with nature and its surroundings. Our room had hand painted murals—as does the rest of the hotel—a sitting room and a patio with a gorgeous view of San Jose.
