"The hotel and staff were very nice. Wonderful views from our balconies. Unfortunately, most of Mesa Verde park was closed due to the government shutdown.we had stayed at the Grand Canyon a few days earlier and everything was business as usual. I even got an email from the Grand Canyon before our arrival saying they were open, but some services might not be available due to the shutdown - we didn’t notice anything not available. "The Westin is our new favorite resort & spa in the area. Only complaint is the restaurant was closed for a wedding and we were not made aware at check in. We had to find other decent dining options within walking distance. Gondola to Beaver Creek also not open; assume because it’s not ski season yet? Not clear on website."
