"Comfortable bed, and room very clean, and serviced daily. There was a good selection at breakfast, and food was constantly replenished. Breakfast items are all good quality, and staff are very friendly, polite and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. There is plenty of free parking spaces. Highly recommend this hotel , and would choose to stay here again when in the area."

"Room was clean & with lovely furnishings. Staff were excellent, friendly & helpful. Good choice for breakfast, eggs royale was lovely. Our dogs were welcomed & catered for. Some lovely sitting areas with comfy seats. A lovely place to stay with good amenities. Recommended."

"Clean room (if a little dated) but the little courtyard was lovely to sit out and have a coffee. £15 per day to park or free on the street outside. Sensible level of breakfast - just enough."

"Breakfast we didn't have as it was extra so can't comment on that , the views were amazing and we had a room looking out across the moors , the room was pretty bit obviously old and creeky ,massive bathroom with bath and separate shower , the cold tap in the bath didn't seem to work ,no water cold water came through, bed seemed to be on the small side even though was advertised as king size ! Narrow corridors and clunky doors separated the rooms along it and unfortunately inconsiderate noisy...

"The bus stop right outside takes you in to York which was very handy and we were able to leave our car on the hotel car park all day. "

"Set in stunning grounds I wasn’t sure what to expect from the interior. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The spa is very nice the changing rooms were adequate you need £1 coin for the locker but the pool and treatment rooms were very nice. The sun loungers were a little tired and worn and they are very close to the ground so getting in and off them can be somewhat tricky. Very pleasantly surprised by the food in the restaurant, very good and staff in all areas were friendly and...

"Room was clean and nice but heating did not work properly and after one cold night we were given small electric radiators. Breakfast was very average. Communal areas in the hotel were very nice although pool was closed which we had not been told about. Location is excellent."
