"Clean building and rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff. Amenities are very basic, but the price per night is very reasonable. Close to lots of restaurants and the SHSU campus. Outdoor pool looked nice but we couldn't use it because it rained all weekend."

"Stayed two nights. Room was clean and breakfast good. Reported to front desk that water pressure at bathroom faucets was very low, plus one light out in bathroom. Nothing was done about it. "

"Breakfast was awful. Before 8am on a Tuesday morning they were out of eggs, and only had overcooked peppery sausage patties and a few biscuits. Most of the time when we passed the lobby there was no one around. The floor in our room must have been cleaned with a filthy mop. We could hear the people talking in the next room. "

"The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Huntsville is a decent hotel. Sitting just off I-45 and about 70 miles from Houston it's well-positioned for travelers passing through or spending time near Sam Houston State University. Rooms are clean and well-equipped, with an indoor pool and fitness center rounding out the amenities. The hot breakfast buffet was ok, hotel food. The location in a smaller East Texas city means fewer dining options within walking distance, but for anyone training in the area,...

"Rooms left a lot to be desired. Floors were dirty. Walking from the bath to the bed, barefoot, the bottoms of our feet were black. Hot water was non-existent the night we arrived, however there was plenty the following morning. We bought towels at the Dollar General, so we would have decent towels. Rooms are noisy and neighbors can be heard easily. We won't be back."
