"It was beyond their control as an electrical storm knocked the power out for 6 hours. Room was too hot and stuffy. Ruined our appreciation of the night."

"Room was clean, nice bed linens and good quality toiletries. The room was pretty small (possibly just the room type I booked), but it was quiet. The hotel staff were great. The hotel is a bit dated and you can see that in places. It’s not a fancy stay, but was perfect for a night and I would happily return."

"I checked in around 10:30 PM and was greeted by a very kind and welcoming family. They were courteous, efficient, and friendly, and made sure I knew where to park and helped guide me to my room. "Great view of the river and Dalles Dam, Mount Hood from the outside eating area by lobby. Expedia description of room did not say it was NOT a view room. I found that out when I checked in and front desk rep very nice but said it would be a 20$ charge to change to view room, which I declined. Wonderful included breakfast in the lobby. You can also order pizza other snacks and fancy alcoholic drinks from the lobby to eat/drink in inside or outside dining areas with views of Columbia River....

"I stayed in a tiny king room. It was definitely small and would be perfect for a solo traveler. The room was immaculate and cozy. The hot soak tub and sauna were so nice to have available. Everything was within walking distance too. I will be back!"

It charges market rates but lacks basic amenities such as in-room coffee and a refrigerator, along with on-site services like a fitness center, leaving it uncompetitive. My biggest complaint: air conditioning is centrally controlled by management, so guests cannot adjust room temperature. The single ceiling vent produced only a small trickle of air, insufficient to cool the room. The windows are old, hard to open,...
