"The hotel in general was very good. Just personally, we had a few issues Our main issue is that the hotel. It's so big with long hallways and lots of steps, considering we have a child in a Pram and lots of luggage it was so exhausting to carry everything from the car park to walk across to the hotel. And then find your room. Its hell of a long walk with steps. When we arrived, they gave us a room on the top floor with loads of steps, and the windows barely opened. So we complained and changed...

"Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!"

"Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂). "Lovely old building. Nice bathtub. Lots of parking. Staff were very helpful n friendly. Excellent breakfast. Lidl is right across the road."

Our room did not look like it had been fully cleaned when we arrived, there was a empty packet on the floor by the bed and the glass on the wardrobe was covered in finger marks. The room was also hotter inside than outside with no real way of opening window and a very small fan provided for us. "Difficult to get to due to being gated and having to request entry via the intercom. Room was reasonably clean and quite basic. Headboard was hard, but the bed was comfortable. Surprisingly they still use old fashioned keys for door entry. Reception was closed at 0930 when we checked out and dropped off the key in a box attached to the wall."

"Lovely room and facilities but why charge for car park if you’re staying, appreciate it’s near the airport but there must be a way of controlling access without penalising guests who have already paid to stay."

"Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. "
