"The room was clean and the staff were attentive. The location of the hotel was perfect. So why did I take a star off? Well, first of all the beds were not very comfortable. The beds were too soft and kinda sloped off the sides so you felt like you were going to roll off. The bathroom layout was ridiculous; there was a ton of empty unused space in the bathroom when more counter space would have been helpful. "The absolute best bed & breakfast in San Francisco! Cleanest rooms, friendliest and most attentive staff, great location, most delicious breakfasts and snacks/baked goodies throughout the day. Our son graduated from USF this past Saturday and we’ve consistently stayed here. On our next trip to S.F., just to visit and explore more we’ll stay there again!"

"The Grove Inn was great for a quick trip into San Francisco. Close enough to the area. Be mindful it is San Francisco and the streets are definitely full of hilss. If you can walk, everything is close enough. If you can't, Ubers are always available. The hotel itself was clean and secure with the charm of the Victorian Homes that are known for the area. Will definitely return to stay again. Thank you Azizza!"

"clean and in a good spot. Felt very safe. A lot of the stuff is new and seems like it’s ikea furniture so I’m not sure how long it will last but looks great. Whoever redid the motel took some shortcuts when redoing it (the grouting, bathroom sink wobbles, bathroom door didn’t latch when you shut it) but all and all it was very nice and definitely recommend staying again."

"Comfortable quiet room; big bathroom. Nice staff. Super location. Great value! I lost an envelope of money (found elsewhere) but when I called they went and checked the room for me. I didn't eat breakfast there, so not sure about food but think it is a little gem. I was by myself but friends came to meet me and little small to visit, but the outdoor patio was nice. Thank you!"

"Stayed here for a couple of weeks. Bed is large and comfy, and the room is adequate with a little couch. The housekeepers are really nice. There's a little window for some sunlight though you'll want to turn on the light during the day. Great stay, no weird smells. Only thing is you will hear laughing/drunk people/bar music on the weekend nights but just turn on the ac/heater and it will drown them out haha."

"I love the brand experience. Standard and funky accords the world. I would not stay in these rooms with another person though unless you are only using the room to sleep. It’s really small. Perfect for a solo not for a couple. Sad they had to be acquired by Marriott. Hope they are able to keep their unique style and not get flattened by corporate. Will def stay again in San Francisco and elsewhere. Great location."
