"The location of this hotel was great, with a lot of sites within walking distance and close to grand central train station to be able to take the subway to sites further afield. The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly with storing our luggage. The 2nd floor amenities offering water, pop and snacks was a nice addition and super convenient. The rooftop bar was lovely. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and overall quiet. Would definitely stay here again."

"I stayed across the street from the San Carlos for several visits, but decided to try the San Carlos this trip and it was a good choice. Upgraded 2 queen bed room to a suite without asking. Suite was clean and well maintained. Daughter used the gym with no complaints. I love the east midtown location."

"I stayed at Pod 39 Hotel in Manhattan, New York, for 5 nights in May 2026. I booked my reservation through Expedia and paid the full amount in advance with my credit card. The advertised rate was approximately $264 per night, and Expedia indicated the total price of the stay. At check-in, I was surprised to be presented with a form requiring me to sign and accept an additional “facility use charge.” I was told there would be an extra charge that was not clearly disclosed during my booking...

"Our stay was amazing! We walked in super early expecting to leave our luggage and explore until we could check in but our room was ready! The room was super clean, well kept, and had everything we needed. They have water bottles and filtered water dispensers on every floor that guests could use for free! Summer heat in NYC is no joke so the free water is a great perk. Staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, always greeting us when we walked in and out of the hotel. It was an amazing stay so...
