This has plenty of room, a stand-alone shower (though no bath in our particular room) and we didn’t notice any insects. "Room was large, en suite, very clean, shower hot and with a strong flow. Bed very comfortable. TV a good size. Tea/Coffee facilities in room, along with a hair dryer, spare blanket (if needed) and clean towels. Room was airy, even on the hot day. Since it was a hot spell, the thick curtains were drawn in our room to keep the room cool, which was a nice welcomed touch. "Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time."

"A lovely house in a beautiful location should’ve given us a wonderful holiday but it was far from the 4 star anniversary experience we were hoping for after a very difficult year for my wife & I. We had to be moved from our room due to the shower tray not draining but there were old coffee stains on the skirting board, tablecloth & curtains, not to mention stains on one of the “clean” towels. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill...
