The road leading to the hotel was full of pot holes in an awful state my hotel room was well appointed but small breakfast was almost non existent

This is an ideal place if you’re looking to stay close to Gatwick for a reasonable price. However, you won’t get a great sleep. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone. It’s a very old room, there was water damage to the ceiling which hasn’t been repaired, the toilet was wobbly and the shower could do with a good clean! The man on reception was really helpful and kind :)

This hotel is a dump and should be closed down absolutely horrible. Mold, Damp, Stains every where. I slept on top of the bed didn’t dare get inside. Silverfish all in bath room. Avoid at all cost. If your lucky to get your car in and out the car park with out any damage it’s a miracle craters all down the path to the hotel.

FIX THE ROAD!
Stayed at this hotel many times and every review I leave states the same thing, YOU NEED TO GET THE APPROACH ROAD REPAIRED!!! This must be the worst potholed road in the whole south of the country, three times I bottomed out my car probably causing as yet unseen damage, and many other cars were seen having the same issues! GET IT FIXED!!

Word of warning
Word of warning, the road leading up to the hotel is in a very severe state of disrepair. Anybody who has a vehicle incapable of dealing with potholes approx 18 inches deep, 36 inches round and bumps at 10 inches high should find alternative accommodation. This is in no way to say that the accommodation isn’t good enough for what it is advertised as.

Awful country lane leading to property which has caused damage to underside of car (deep holes in road). Tired property-stains on carpets-light switches not working-awful soundproofing-tiny shower towel-smell coming from shower-weak shower-just old and tired.

Rooms look NOTHING like the pictures like at all walked in our bed was in the middle of nothing, paid for king size bed I got a small double bed road that drives into the hotel not safe at all the pot holes HORRIBLE straight out of a horror movie, creaky floors, trust me I do not recommend

My car got damaged
My car got damaged ,travelling down the lane to accommodation. Then wont take responsibility, the lane is in such need of repairs, unfit to use, its a joke . I now can not leave without causing more damage

It was a very cold November night and the one radiator that had a bed in front of it was not big enough for the size of the room, despite turning the dial up and moving the bed away to let the heat out. The shower was awkward and cramped and the towels were tiny so wont cover you if you are bigger than a size 10. Bed was comfortable though and warm enough to sleep in. The road leading to the hotel will kill you suspension as very bumpy. Decent enough for one night. Missed breakfast, which was my fault so cant comment on that.

While the hotel is not immediately in the vicinity of the airport and somewhat isolated, it is quiet, surrended by countryside, and offers an affordable solution for those with a car. Staff was helpful and service was very good. Only drawback: the place is only accessible by taxi if you come on foot as the local bus will leave you quite far from the hotel. No shopping or dining options are available in the vicinity so make sure you have all you need with you. If you come by car, note that the access road is a little narrow and bumpy, expecially in bad weather when big puddles of water can test your suspension.

Just for an aiport stop over
It was fairly cheap, close to the aiport, and the check in guy was good, but thats all. Not clean, and bed was like a brick. But it did the job for a 7am flight.

Pleasant hotel.
The hotel is pleasant clean but there was layers of dust on headboard could have drew pictures in it when the sun came through window you could see it .shower control knob kept coming off everytime you moved it for water change temperature. Nowhere to put toiletries other than on floor.one bathtowel one handtowel for two day stay.breakfast at 6.99 each continental breakfast was not what i would have said continental had better.hotels we stay in I give best average and basic.Basic is what I would give The road needs a lot of repair some of the potholes are big we had to try to drive between and around them.but the hotel is ok if you want a one night stay then it would have had a better score.

Advertised as double bed. The beds aren’t double they are in between single and double. The shower didn’t work. The windows wouldn’t open. When reported to staff they didn’t change us to a different room. Stayed here many many times and never once felt let down as I did last night.

you should be embarrassed to have this hotel on your site, absolutely disgusting place, so dirty and unsafe, holes in the bathroom floor tiles which are sharp, actual holes in the floor of the bedroom which only the carpet stops yuo from falling in, dirty bedding

The manager lovely. Our room though had the last guests leftovers in the fridge that didn’t work. The property itself needs much TLC. The grounds do as well. Have been told that major renovations have been are earmarked ofor 2024

Hidden Gem
This was my first time staying here. I usually stay closer to the airport but everything was booked. I checked in later in the evening because I had to travel from N England. The manager Shahab checked me in and was very kind. He was very clear on the information I would need before I asked (ie breakfast time, how and when to check out, how to get on the WiFi, and how to get a taxi to the airport the next morning. He went so far to even help me carry my bags (I had 3 bag) up the stairs and to my room. The room was clean and comfortable, there were towels with soap and body wash nicely placed on the bed. In the morning the manager was at the desk again and helped me again with my bags. He was very kind, knowledgeable, professional and gave excellent customer service. I was rather stressed when I checked in but his kindness helped me not be as anxious. The breakfast area was nice and clean. Thank you for being a blessing to me Shahab. I will stay here again and highly recommend it. I felt like I was cared about and not just another hotel guest checking in and out like most hotels.

Not happy at all
Everything was broken including the cheap $15 fan that was supposed to cool the room the windows didn’t open properly cause the curtain rod/blind roller was installed not allowing the windows to properly open I spoke to the manager/owner whatever he was and he brought up another $15 fan and it was hot as satans nuts in the room the beds were hard as a rock and a small double that tbh wasn’t long enough for me and I’m 5’8 had to sleep diagonal all I’ll say is the pictures were very very deceptive I thought I was getting an alright room that would suffice the first night back here in the uk close to the airport but nope :( We paid $100 pound for one night I wouldn’t of stayed here knowing the condition of the room

There wasn’t a dining room but Wetherspoons was close by, plus there was a microwave in the room. Able to order food in. Road to the property is full of potholes but plenty of parking. Nice quiet comfortable stay.

Grim and disgusting
The room was scruffy and had numerous cobwebs in it. The bedroom carpet didn’t fit to the walls in places. The bathroom was terrible with the shower head falling off the wall and the shower cubicle had layer upon layer of sealant to hold it together. The approach to the hotel was down a track with thesurface breaking up badly and huge potholes - very dangerous to drive along. Because of its location and convenience to Gatwick Airport they feel they can charge a huge amount for the room but the hotel doesn’t even reach 2-star status.

All was good value for the price paid. Excellent location and easy check in. As has been mentioned the only downside is the approach road which is in a bad state with very large pot holes. Drive slowly and you will be fine

The lane leading up to the property had huge pot holes. Large enough to damage a car. The hotel access from the road is shocking. No check in beyond 11pm is not good enough for an airport hotel if flights delayed or running late with traffic. Windows not double glazed leading to a lot of noise. Curtains were not black out, with huge gaps leading to a lit up room in the morning. No air conditioning made the room very hot for my summer stay. Bed was uncomfortable with a poor mattress and stained sheets. On the plus side rooms were spacious and reception staff friendly.
