The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left. "My partner and I remarked that the woman at the front desk was the first unfriendly person we had met in the highlands. When we got to the room, it was un-vacuumed and there were grease smears on all surfaces and the headboard. Each of the cups in coffee corner were dirty with lip marks/greasy fingerprints."

"Unbelievable atmosphere; we were met at the door with a big welcome. We were seated in the reception area and offered a glass of champagne while we checked in. We were escorted to our room and familiarized with the amenities. Afternoon tea was wonderful! Everything was wonderful from start to finish! Our host Steve made our stay the best stay in Scotland! ."
