"We really enjoyed our stay at 1898 The Post. We stayed in a "Postcard" room, which was small but comfortable and very charmingly decorated. I don't know if all the Postcard rooms are laid out the same way, but ours had the shower/bathroom sink in an upstairs loft area, and the toilet in a separate small closet downstairs near the bed and desk. "A lovely, quirky place to stay! Really convenient for Ghent centre, with parking and EV charging. We were in the Captain’s cabin which was great for the three of us. Breakfast was very nice too. Only improvement would have been the shower room. The drain couldn’t keep up with the shower which meant you had to paddle about for a good while after anyone had a shower (the toilet was in there too!). Condensation issues in there led to a bit of mould too on the walls. Decor everywhere else was...

"Hotel is perfectly located to explore the city centre in foot. Parking is expensive but worth it for the location - can be reserved but we had no problem getting a space without reserving. They were happy for us to park a lot earlier than check in time. Room clean & comfortable with spacious bathroom."

"Very clean, comfortable hotel. Quiet room, comfortable bed. No extras but was still comfy. Quite small but fine for what we needed. First reception person was ok. But not very helpful. We arrived an hour early and she wanted to charge us 50 euros to check in early. The second reception person was lovely literally 30 minutes later. Checked us in no problem. Coffee machine in the lobby was not working. Apparently you could get coffee on another level but we didn’t try as we did not buy breakfast....
