Riverside Hotel

8/10 Good

"The parking is a bit tight but very useful. The car park is just past the main hotel restaurant. Good check in process. Nice room. We had lots of luggage so room felt a bit small but was lovely with the view across the river. Food in the Tannerery was wonderful. I highly recommend the Salmon tagliatelle in cream sauce....absolutely delicious. We would stay here again."

"We have just returned from a two night stay in a garden room.The view from our room was super and the view from the hotel across Windermere was fantastic.The staff were very friendly.We enjoyed a tasty full English breakfast with local produce.There was plenty of choice if you wanted to eat cereals, etc. The reception, breakfast room and the bar are stylishly designed.The hotel is undergoing renovations, but this did not impact us at all as it was at the other end of the hotel. Our room was compact but had everything we needed . I would have appreciated a fridge in the hot weather. Parking is extra but we just left our car for the whole time there and walked or caught a steamboat at the nearby pier. The location of the hotel was so convenient with a 2 minure walk into Bowness, full of places to eat and lovely walks along the lake. We will defiitely stay here again.The hotel is authentic and full of history."

"Very nice place in a great location near lake Windermere Room was clean and good size and comfy bed too Bathroom was very small and no room to unpack No real wardrobe either so longer stay would have been an issue I thought it was expensive for what we had. Communal areas are gorgeous but not one dustbin visible!! Parking was expensive at £12 per day Great Asian fusion restaurant was really tasty Towels were a bit hard tbh and pillows were a nightmare for me"
