Overall very lovely, although a staff member entered our room early in the morning, while we were sleeping on the last day, waking us up. That was not ok."

"Very tired old property. When they showed us the room it first reminded me of one of the servant quarters in a recent historic house tour. We booked a classic double. The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left. "This hotel was unique. Interesting combo of an older building, similar decor to the movie The Shining, funky-fun art, and very large room and bathroom. We had a drink at the bar which was good. They use actual metal room keys..fun. We did run into a problem with parking. The hotel is in the same parking lot area as the train. Train people aren’t allowed to park so luckily there was a spot open when we arrived. In the morning 2 cars were blocking our car in. One was the receptionist who said...

"Clean, small room. Flat pillows, thin walls-could hear the person next room snoring. Breakfast doesn’t start til 8 on weekends, so not useful for an early flight. It is close to the airport which is why I picked it"

"Great castle stay. You can wander around the property and get a look at the other rooms of the castle. Free easy on-site parking. Staff was great. Little pub in the basement with walk-out garden seating to have a beverage. As with it being an old castle, it has and old charm and fun to explore. Bummed the ghost story person was t=not there for our stay - would have loved to hear. Recommended. Only potential issue, there is no lift and 3 floors potentially. Would stay again. "This is a roadside hotel that is almost a theme park. I loved it. It is getting a little tired in some areas and in our family room the furniture didn't quite entirely fit in the room but it was comfortable, clean, the breakfast was great, and you can get a pretty good view over Loch Ness while you eat it."
