"During the recent heat wave, my room was extremely warm and the fan they provided did not work to cool the room. They need to have fans that work because the upper rooms in the hotel were too hot. I checked out early."

"Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast in the restaurant was OK. No drinking water in the room although there were supplies of hot chocolate, tea and coffee. The hotel parking was down a small alleyway and next to a pub so we decided to park elsewhere and walk in. Looks like there is room to create more secure parking on the disused primary school site."

"I moved to this hotel because they told me they had a working fan and a view of the sea with adequate sea breeze to cool off the room. The room was extremely warm and the fan did not work very well and I had to stay there for two nights with an extremely warm room also the the hotel is a bit rundown and the carpet in the room had stains."

"We stayed here while attending a wedding at the nearby Trump Turnberry hotel. The hotel is a short 15-minute drive from Turnberry and right on the coast road with fantastic views. The hotel has an ample car park and spacious rooms. We found the rooms perfect for our 1-night stay. Included in the room rate are various cold breakfast items like cereals, croissaints, ham in the fridge, fruit yougarts, milk for making tea/coffee. I would not hesitate to recommend this superb hotel."

Only couple of issues, I filled in online the “pre checkin” form to save time (hotels words not mine). But when I got to reception I had to complete it again. Iron in the room was all sticky too. "My stay at the Mercure suited me perfectly. I was close to the train station so I could easily walk up & travel to Glasgow, and also have a pleasant stroll along the promenade. The polite barman ensured I had a nice glass of wine to relax at the end of the day. The reception staff gave me a cheery welcome back wave me when I returned in the evening.
