"By 9pm and the only option for dining is town. It’s a 25-minute hilly walk and buses stop running before 9pm. The hotel had a vending machine that had 5 CHF instant noodles and a self-service kitchen that had a kettle. Not the best option, but it worked. If staying here, plan your meals better considering the location from town/other restaurants."
"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Royal Luzern. The view from my room on the second floor was just absolutely incredible! The staff, especially Elena, were most accommodating, polite and friendly. I will most definitely stay here again next time when I'm in Luzern."
"The staff was excellent and went out of their way to be helpful-whether it was extra towels, directions to Lauterbrunnen, or providing extra ice, they were wonderful and did it with a smile. All staff was multi-lingual, which made the stay even more enjoyable."
"Beautiful and most convenient location. The staff was amazing and super helpful! The breakfast was wonderful and the manager is awesome. The Dirty Martini at the bar was amazing!"
"- nicely renovated hotel
- very convenient location walkable to train station, Chapel Bridge, boat pier and other landmarks.
- appreciated the air conditioned rooms as we were there during all time high temperatures
- nicely decorated rooms and very clean
- comfortable beds
- dual shower heads with great water pressure
- on a side street which was quieter than being next to the river road way which is filled with tourists all night
- water (still and sparkling) bottle fill up in lobby
- breakfast buffet was not included but could be purchased at the same price when booking or each day you want it. Very large buffet with lots of choices but no à la carte options if you just wanted a coffee and croissant."
"The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean, and the air conditioning worked well! We didn't love that the beds were not very comfortable and the shower was really had to get in and out of."
