"Nothing wrong the aesthetics of the hotel and appeared clean. Staff were good. Just the second Marston’s Inn in a year that I’ve been bitten badly by bed bugs. Reported and hopefully will get sorted. 100% will not stay at another Marston’ Inn."

"Nice clean hotel, in (just about) walking distance to the city. Easy, free parking on site. Breakfast included. It was a bit noisy in the morning (7.30am-ish); it was as though barrels were being delivered."

"Perfectly comfortable stay. Fast check-in and out. Spacious, modern clean rooms. Friendly breakfast staff but food very basic, would skip adding breakfast to your stay. Would recommend and stay again."

"Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. I hope to be back soon."

"Firstly, the only reason I haven't given this hotel a terrible score is because of the staff. They were friendly, welcoming and did their best to help. Unfortunately, The Devonshire Arms was a real disappointment considering the £180 we paid for one night. I genuinely wouldn't recommend paying more than £100 per night. The photos on the website make the hotel look much better than it actually is, and I wish we'd travelled a little further and booked elsewhere. The room was clean, but...

"I must admit I was slightly wary of staying here after reading all the complaints about noise, but as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about! The hotel and surroundings were quiet - even during an England match! I suspect it depends on whether the students in neighbouring accommodation blocks are around, so perhaps factor that into your decision. But for relatively cheap accommodation, with breakfast included, you can't go far wrong with the Jonas!"

"Would have given a 5 star review but unfortunately neither me or my wife could have a shower, water would only come out at super hot no matter how I tried to ad cold it just stayed boiling hot. Both had to wash in the sink as a consequence. We were in room 6"

"Lovely hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, spacious room and very grateful for the room air con in this hot weather!"

"The Bathroom Floor needs new Tiles. The Bath needs a new Shower Screen. The Bath needs a quality Bath Panal. The Toilet needs a better quality toilet Seat. The Bedrooms need a portable Fridge Cooler. Restaurant evening Meals are not available certain days. Reception Staff rarely answer the telephone."
