"The stay was very nice. The hotel is not well versed in English so you may have a little communication issue if you do not know Chinese. There was one Manager, Richard, he was great. He was fluent in English and was always helpful and happy to help and translate. We spoke with him for almost anything we needed during our stay. The breakfast is worth the extra money to get. It was the best breakfast I have had in Southeast Asia. Great food! The hotel is a little further from the sites...

"Thet tourist attractions of Big Goose Pavilion and the Tang Everlasting Night pedestrian street is right outside the hotel front lobby. We were given a quiet room far from the elevator. With all the activities outside, we could not hear a thing and had restful sleep during our stay. The subway station is about a 10 min. walk and the Shangxi History Museum is about a 20 min. walk. The room itself did show some wear but over all was still a solid 4 out of 5 star. During our last day of exploring in the area, we also found a grocery store "Fresh Hippo", an Alibaba's supermarket chain."

"Amazing location. An oasis of peace in busy city. Great breakfast! Easy to walk or taxi to locations in walled city or nearby. Use Didi for taxis for better rate, though they cannot pick up directly in the hotel campus. There are two other hotels plus conference centers on this enclosed historic square."

"The staff was friendly, welcoming and very good in communicating fast and efficient especially through we chat app . The breakfast was delicious , good variety and love the assorted individual yoghurt provided too . The daily housekeeping always keep the room 10/10 so clean and the towel change so well , the Asian fine dining restaurant they have was superb 👍 . The zen garden and elegant cultural heritage aesthetic is calming and relaxing during stay . The bed mattress, the nice clean crisp linen and the pillow menu makes our sleep every night rejuvenating . The tea bag in leaves and very cute tea pots is so traditional and so relaxing . The bath tub with magnesium salt is a plus help for an all day walking . The concierge was very careful and gentle well deliver our luggage in our room . The check in and check out was outstanding . I also experienced getting assorted free mooncake from the manager as it was autumn moon festival celebration on the day we’re checking out . The only thing I am hoping would improved when we come back as a guest again is to make the water pressure much better in the rain shower and bathtub . Also an option of brighter light added in the bathroom because I struggle to put make up on in dim light . Make the bath towel in actual size as we find the towel we used during stay was more like a size of a beach towel . The location was nearby and walking distance to sightseeing attractions , cafes , restaurants and shopping mall ."

"Communication with the hotel is an issue. Before the trip, I texted the hotel twice. But without a response. I asked Expedia to contact the hotel. It ended up going nowhere since the person answered the phone had difficulty in another language. It is a little surprise for a major international chain."

"The reason why we picked this hotel was due to the location and it did not fail. This hotel is located conveniently near restaurants and the Muslim quarters. The staff at the hotel was very professional and kind, even with the language barrier. We used a translator app with no issues. We picked a two bed room and we were given the room with a kids play area (traveling with no kids). We didn’t mind at all. We cared about the space and the cleanliness. Which this hotel was perfect for that. The mattress comfort was ideal for us and the amenities were also a plus. They had a very spacious laundry area with 6 washers and 6 dryers machines. And they provide laundry detergent as well. The gym was extremely basic, functional machines, no dumbbells, one treadmill, one rower. Nothing fancy. We didn’t get a chance to experience the buffet food. Would recommend this hotel."
