Breakfast had no business being as good and varied as it was, set us up for a great day. Great location, staff was very friendly. Room was very cozy but got the job done.

Simple but convenient accommodations within the park. A great location close to most of the popular Death Valley attractions. The breakfast buffet was not included, but it was awesome and well worth the cost!

We enjoyed our stay. Had an issue at check in (we were early) with an uncooperative computer meaning we had to check in later at night when we returned to the hotel for good. Otherwise, nice, large, clean and comfortable room. Didn't really have time to check out the restaurant and other amenities. Had a drink in the bar which was nice.

Clean room. Environmental issues do not allow for cold tap water and the ice machine was broken, so that was a problem. The store across the street was sold out of ice ( the man at yhe front desk directed me to go there to get ice)

The man who checked me in was unfriendly. The room, while nice enough, overlooked the dumpsters behind the restaurant. The air conditioning unit sounded like an engine revving up over and over and over all night long. No coffee in the room. If you want coffee without paying $10, you have to get it in the lobby between the hours of 9 pm and 7 am The rocking chairs were nice. The location is good. Overall, not a customer friendly experience, especially for the price.

The property is rustic, but the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The mini refrigerator was a great size and perfect for keeping snacks and food for our daily trips around Death Valley. The bed was comfortable, and I’m usually quite picky about beds. Unfortunately, our timing was not ideal, as the hotel had a scheduled 12-hour power outage from 4:00 a.m. to about 4:00 p.m. on March 10. During that time, there was no electricity or Wi-Fi in the rooms, although Wi-Fi was available at the registration office. They schedule maintenance outages two or three times a year, so it may be worth checking ahead before reserving. That said, we were grateful for the convenience of staying inside the park and for the beautiful views of the Mesquite Dunes. We would definitely come back!

This property definitely has a monopoly as far as location. Check-in was a surprise as there was an added charge for any potential damages. Nowhere was this disclosed prior to arrival. Restaurant was good, bar was good but very unfriendly wait staff. All in all I would probably not recommend staying here. However, not much else available.

The front desk staff was rude and terrible. Sent me to the room with a key that didnt work, then i had to get another key, opened and there was someone already in there. Had to go and get another room and never once staff said we apologize for the mix up. Then said we upgraded your room and i have no idea whether they did or not. It was a standard two queen bed room. They should train their some basics of customer service.

This review is for the Standard Room. In retrospect, I should have chosen the Deluxe Room, which looks nicer in the pictures. The location of the hotel is great right inside Death Valley National park. The room was clean, but older. The shower was very good and the air conditioner worked well. The small TV worked OK. The staff were all very helpful. The restaurant was convenient and pretty good. There are not a lot of restaurant choices inside the park. The mattress was very soft and after three days my back was aching. There is a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave or coffee maker. Overall, it was better than I expected for an older motel inside the park.
