"Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was just ok (very basic, though the waffle stations were good) and the amenities were also ok. I just wish there weren't as many maintenance things with our sink and the coffee and juice dispensers in the dining area. There are decent restaurants and shops nearby. I'd rebook here if going back to Newport News."

Bushes overgrown and the outside looked as it hadn't been cleaned or kept up in years. Water damage on the wall behind the receptionist in the lobby. Then they said they didn't serve breakfast in the breakfast bar and that only a light breakfast of muffins and juice would be served in the lobby in the morning. "Loved the location. Bearing able to walk to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast wasn’t much and the staff in there wasn’t as good as the rest of the hotel. The hotel overall just needs some updates and upkeep. Starting to look run down, but so was the visitor center."

"Room wasn’t clean even in the slightest. Nothing had been mopped or wiped down. The toilet and bathtub was still dirty and even had hair in it. The fire alarm was ripped off the wall at some point in time and the fridge was beyond disgusting. There was raw, rotting, chicken drums left in it for god knows how long and was leaking juices inside and outside of the fridge and stunk. It was so bad we had to leave the hotel and find a new place to stay at. Even the hallways smelt like dirty diapers....

"The room was updated and extremely clean- even areas hotels often miss. I was very happy with this! The breakfast was minimal and a lot of things were out. Many families seem to stay at this location for the water park which brings a lot of kids in the morning for the breakfast- I think they could do a better job with keeping it stocked."
