The pool was quiet, relaxing and enjoyable. We used the sausa, steam room and the jacuzzi. The staff were hard working and amazing. Just like to say a big thank you to Raul, and Esha in the restaurant who made our dining experience very enjoyable and Chris in the bar who kept us entertained with him good humour and quick wit. We will definitely be back again soon!!

This Hotel looks amazing on first look then when you look close you can see all the refurbishment it needs. Worn wallpaper, worn chairs, dated furniture. Our room we found dark curly hairs in the bath and side, housekeeping came in to sort but still left some hairs on the side, reception staff were extremely helpful. Pool and hot tub was great but again cleanliness in the changing room toilets left alot to be desired, hairs everywhere and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and we were in there about 9am. Breakfast wasn’t bad but not as much choice as other places I’ve been to for the price.

Rooms are very very dated and ours smelt nasty! No net curtains all way round bay window and over looked a roundabout. No rubber on shower screen so water went all over the bathroom. Definitely not 4 star! Breakfast was good & meet and greet member of staff very jolly. Pool looked good too but didn’t use.

This used to be one of the top hotels in the area. Now it's in desperate need of a refurb. All the staff were great. I remember coming here in the early 90's and it's not seen a lick of paint since. Don't get me wrong for £50 for the night being able to use the pool hot tub and sauna it's good value. Would love to see a company take it over and bring it back to it's former glory. Bed was very comfortable and hot water. We didn't eat so cannot comment on the food

Hotel very old fashioned and the rooms need a total refurb. Bathroom sink had no plug and the shower was just a hand held shower and not at all powerful. Drain stank in bathroom sink, like it had not been used for a very long time. Having said that, the room was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful and it has a nice bar area. Modernising the rooms would be fab although sadly mine was overlooking a motorway / dual carriageway, and was freezing and loud! It did the job for what we needed but def room for improvement if the bedrooms are meant to be 4 star

When we arrived the room was very clean , but there was little flies flying round the room, we did report this , don’t no if Anyone went to the room as when we came back from having a walk they appeared again. Also when resting a dog was barking constantly for 2 hours, they must of gone out for a bit, other then that a lovely stay , been many time always loved this hotel , just a few things that let it down this stay. The staff was also very friendly

The amenities advertised were not available, i.e. the pool and hot tub. These had been the deciding factors in choosing this hotel. No compensation was made more than a dry apology. Staff expressed themselves to be haggard. We pre-ordered a set menu and then were told we would have to pay 1 GBP more - weird. The next day we were told that this had been magnanimously waived (sic) No drinks were included in the meal. Drinks both at table and at the bar were unnecessarily pricey. Beer was served in a can... we had to ask for a glass... three times. Odd. Breakfast was good. The rooms and beds were old but comfortable. The bathroom could use a deep clean and the drains cleaned. Plumbing issue I think.

The pool was closed for renovations and I was informed upon arrival that it would likely be closed for 2-3 months (be warned). The changing rooms and sauna and steam room area needs a good deep clean. We booked a 'suite' room as a little treat to ourselves for our wedding anniversary. The room was dirty and in need of a serious clean. There were stains on the headboard (you can guess which type!!) dirty marks all along the edges of the bath and sink area. To top it off the plug in the bath didn't even fit the plughole!! So not possible at all to have a relaxing soak. This hotel used to be very good but has gone downhill in recent times and unless it gets a complete renovation I would avoid. The only positive was the friendliness of the staff who apologized unreservedly for the issues when mentioned to them.

The hotel itself is lovley was a shame they only mentioned a few days prior our stay that the pool was closed but later found out it had been shut for months we picked the hotel based on the spa and pool so was disappointed and so were the children the breakfast was Lovley and staff were very accommodating

The room was a good size, comfy bed, staff were attentive. The pool was out of use wgoch was a shame and it has been put of use for months.

Was notified that the pool was shut after making the booking, a small thing at that point. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and cannot fault them. However, always worrying when you have a balcony door which has a notice on it saying the door is damaged and must remain locked. The shower did not work - the knob to turn the water on would not budge, it was as if it had been superglued! I could adjust the temperature on the other dial, but couldnt get any water out, so resorted to a bath. First world problem, but not exactly what you would expect. This was a budget price, but others were the same price and would no doubt have a working shower.
