Great location we were here for a dance competition at the Hyvee Arena. Great staff, spacious clean rooms, good breakfast and parking.

It was a very nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. The only down side was there was kids outside of our room running up and down the halls and yelling and also slamming doirs for about 2 hours. But otherwise very nice place to stay.

Expensive convenience close to event space
For such an expensive night $380, I was disappointed in the thin walls that I could hear the gentleman next door coughing through the night and my daughter (14) and I both waking up with sore backs with a quite uncomfortable bed. Staff was helpful and kind during a busy weekend though.

This is a great place to stay. It was very clean and the staff was quite friendly. The Wells Fargo Arena is right across the street if you are going to an event and there are several options for dining within walking distance.

The convenience factor is huge! Being able to walk across the street and be at Wells Fargo means that we’ll plan on staying here any time we come to an event.

This hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious, and the hotel is a walk across the street from the Wells Fargo Arena, which was our destination. Staff are polite and efficient, and the bar was a fun place to go after our concert was over.

Clean, friendly, hidden parking fee
Nice Hotel, very clean. Friendly staff. However at check in we were told we would be charged $15 for parking. The lady at the desk says 3rd parties “just won’t put it on their site” for people to know. She said she would wave it but then we were charged. We stayed on a Saturday night and we’re told the bar closed at 10. Our event was over and we were back a little after 10pm and it would have been nice to hang out at the bar. Behind us was a group of at least 8 that tried to go in too. There were people staying at the hotel for a Hockey game and a comedian.

This was honestly not the experience I was expecting for the price I paid. I was rushed through check in didn’t even get told when check out was if there was breakfast. Just got told where to part and handed my keys. Thankfully I didn’t get charged again cause I apparently checked out late. Just not the experience I expected for spending so much on a place

It’s good for the price
We stayed a couple nights. The front desk clerk when we checked in was snarky so that was irritating on top of how tired we were at 1am. The hotel itself is nice. There were some missing fixtures in the room which left a visible hole in the wall and one in the bed where the light was missing so it wasn’t visually appealing. The beds themself were as comfortable as a hotel bed can be. The bathroom was clean. They have a really good continental breakfast which was the best part of the stay. It was nice to not have to go looking for breakfast. Hotel is well located and well lit. The tv amenities were nice also. All in all I’d stay again. Good bang for your buck. The same clerk who checked us in checked us out. We left around 4:30am and she was in the back sleeping (I could hear her snoring through the door)…. The front desk needs to replace the bell cause it doesn’t ring well. That lady popped up and came out like she hadn’t been back there sleeping. That was worth a chuckle. Anyway, stay here for a decent affordable stay that’s not too far from Drake University.

I really enjoyed the staff at the Fairfield, they were all super friendly. My room was clean and spacious. Located right in downtown area that has restaurants you can walk to. As well there is a walking area along the water, over the bridge and to the Chinese Garden. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast each morning also provided nice options and was very satisfying.
