"Wifi was spotty. Husband was having a tough time working. Movies kept pausing and buffering, so that made it difficult to see anything all the way through! Food was excellent! Staff was friendly and accommodating to the best of their ability. My last stay was 10 years ago, Aug 2016! We noticed lots of upgrades to the property. We'll be back, and will choose our 1st room #3 next time!!"

"This was a neat place to stay. I wish I would’ve had more time to play golf. Our room was ok. There were a ton of ants and gecko’s in our room which is to be expected building anything in a warm climate. The only complaint, which was not the fault of the resort was the power went out and our room became absolutely stifling. "The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Fridge and coffee maker are available for guests....

"We had a wonderful experience at the black rock lodge, the staff is amazing and you can feel how passionate they are about their work. The Tikal visit is a must. We had an amazing day on site with our guide Noel, we learnt so much about Mayan history and jungle fauna. We did also the hike to the summit and the night walk with the guide. Both great. We also did the big zip lines, repelling, and tight rope which was fun and beautiful! There is lots to do around the resort and it’s close to so many beautiful sights!"
