"It’s not easy to find an affordable place to stay in the Ucluelet/Tofino area, so we opted for the West Island Resort. The location is right in the harbour and within walking distance to the main road in town, so that was a plus. However, I would probably not choose to stay there again because the property is rundown (broken window shades, old furniture, uncomfortable double bed, etc) and the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly when we arrived. In retrospect, I wish we had paid a bit more...

"Beautiful balcony overlooking the water. Perfect for relaxing. Rooms are modern, and bed was comfortable. The first night was quiet and the lapping water lulls you to sleep- the second night we could hear the guests above us as they were loud talkers. It doesn’t deter us from coming back though. Friendly and helpful staff. We had an issue with the TV on arrival and they messaged me quickly to say maintenance fixed it. The little taco vendor outside the hotel is top notch. Loved this...
