"The resort was decent, food was good and the beaches were stunning. Bahamas is awful, from the rip off taxis, to being harassed by vendors in Nassau, at the Fort, on the beach and Arawak Cay.
We stayed there 20 years ago and the island has transformed into one gouging tourist trap. With so many other options (Dominican, Mexico, Aruba, St. Kitts) who go to this dump of an island.
Nassau caters to cruise ships and has berths for 5 ships at one time. So everyone floods in for a few hours and...

"We loved everything about RIU except the one thing our group wanted most and that’s a pool that stays open after dark. Nope not this one closes before dark. Was very disappointed
Even looked at the description before we booked to make sure it was open, so I’m telling ya it’s not open after dark between 6-7 closes
But we had an amazing time other than that.
Great customer service like Randy front desk,
Viviana, Miguel at the bar. Food was good all over can’t complain about that."

"The property is stunning, beautiful. The beach is the most beautiful one I have ever seen. However food and drinks at this particular hotel are overpriced. Other properties located at the same beach had about $10 below for same drinks and same food. This hotel is definitely overpriced. Also worth noting, at Harbor island they include mandatory tip (18-20%), and a different kind of tax that is 10% on top of that, so the bill comes out much higher than expected. "The cottages are well spaced apart so feels very private. Pool and outdoor showers were nice. Malcolm 51 is an excellent dining experience and the food and drinks on the beach were very good fish tacos and lobster sandwiches and pina coladas are a must. It is a walkable resort but it was fun driving around in the golf cart. Room service for breakfast and dinner on the nice outdoor table was very good as well. Pink sand beach is so soft and easy to walk on and they have guys raking the beach...

"I really wish it was a better experience. The rooms were not up to par. We had to switch rooms 2 times because of issues. First room the shower didn’t work. Second room the ac was broken. Third room didn’t even lock properly or have a working bathtub but we decided twice was enough and we would just take our chances. The front desk totally screwed up my reservation and charged me twice. I still have not been refunded but hopefully will in the near future. Otherwise Harold’s wonderful smile kept...
