The information said that I would be sent a key box code to retrieve the keys to the cottage since the office closes at 5:00. We arrived around 7:00. Nobody sent a code. Nobody answered the after-hours line, and nobody at Expedia could get a hold of the property contact. I left a message on the voice mail, but I couldn't just sit there outside the property waiting to see if anyone would respond. I was with my daughter...

"I'll be honest Willow House is part of why I committed to this trip. I saw it online and thought, this alone is worth going. And I say that as someone who has been burned by listings that oversell and underdeliver. Willow House is the opposite. The photos do not do it justice. The decor, the style, the way everything fits the landscape. It's minimal desert architecture done exactly right. Not only was the design thought out and intentional, but they clearly thought through the entire experience...

"Easy and friendly check in. Feels more like a hybrid fact/hotel hybrid. Rooms were clean and dining area/check in was clean. Wish this had more and hope the area around gets rebuilt to bring more dining options that complement the hotel. The service portion is there- very friendly. Hope century bar and grill or a breakfast location opens nearby."

"My son and I stayed here and it was absolutely gorgeous. The pool is open 24 hours and was beautifully refreshing in the desert heat. Highly recommend this place. They are great staff and care so much about protecting the environment of Big Bend region. 10/10"

"Room was clean and spacious. Check-in was at park store - lodge was closed. Got the message that checkin was between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Seemed like a limited period of time. Restaurant was also closed. We had to get breakfast and lunch from a food truck."
