"Lovely old estate with a fantastic new entryway. Exceptional breakfast. Bathrooms have been recently renovated and are top notch. The rest of the place is a little worn.
Staff/management should do the kiosk thing for themselves. Managment/staff requires patrons to negotiate a kiosk to register their car and then they require patrons to write out exactly the same information on one of their forms. Inefficient and insulting.
Our receiving staff member gave us the wrong time for breakfast start time. Given the hotel is 10 minutes from Heathrow and likely has a number of guests with early morning flights, getting the time for breakfast beginning right matters.
Fortunately, we fact checked the staff member and were able to make breakfast - which was very good.
My room was a little to close to the nightclub attached to the hotel and weekend celebration at the "bar/grill" didn't stop until about midnight. Not horrible, but not great.
All things considered, the prices more or less reflect the imperfections and the overall experience was acceptable. We'd probably consider another nearby option, but would be willing to stay at the Grovefield House again, if only for that super breakfast ;-)"
